A Hopeful Approach to Homelessness

At United Hope Builders, not only are we tackling the fight against homelessness with a solutions-based approach – we’re doing so hopefully.

In the Summer of 2022, we came together as a community in East Palo Alto and broke ground during our Ground Breaking Ceremony to mark the launch of our factory build. In partnership with IndieDwell, the United Hope Builders factory will manufacture modular homes that will serve as affordable housing opportunities for those experiencing homelessness.

What Building Hope Is

Once built, the UHB factory will be a space that manufactures homes and hope.

The factory will create an enjoyable place to work as it aims to employ more than 100 workers in the community.

The factory will establish safe places to call home with an estimated production of 400 modular housing units each year to become home for those experiencing homelessness.

The factory will be a beacon of hope that inspires change. We’re taking on this call to action to end homelessness. We’re driving toward our goal of raising $10 million to support the factory build. We’re aiming to truly transform the lives of thousands.

With the factory build, UHB is unearthing the challenges those experiencing homelessness face by helping our community sow seeds On Good Ground, so this community can prosper with affordable modular housing.

Along with the launch of the factory build in July 2022, we launched #OnGoodGround, an awareness and fundraising campaign initiative to raise mission critical funds to allow for affordable housing to become more accessible.

Building a Factory On Good Ground

Through the factory build, we seek to inspire others to become Hope Builders by sowing seeds on Good Ground with us.

So, what happens to seeds that are sown on Good Ground?

The seed becomes deeply rooted and growth can be sustained. With sustained growth, there is breakthrough in the soil and a sprout arises from the seedling. Then the seed blossoms into a healthy, thriving tree. And finally, that tree then goes on to become a home to others.

The journey of a seed sown On Good Ground is similar to the journey that we hope to take our community on.

With the factory build, we are cultivating a strong foundation to eradicate homelessness through affordable modular housing solutions. This strong foundation will allow for sustainable change to take place as we build thriving neighborhoods. The success of these neighborhoods will ultimately lead to flourishing communities – changing the world as we know it!

With powerful plans in place, we are inspired to share that at United Hope Builders we really are building homes and hope.
