On Good Ground

Helping our community establish roots, and end homelessness. Join us.

Affordable housing has become a nationwide crisis. Homelessness is rising, as is anxiety for the precariously housed. At United Hope Builders (UHB), we know that the only way to end homelessness is to create a robust affordable housing solution.

In partnership with indieDwell, we are building a United Hope Builders Factory in East Palo Alto, California.

With the factory, UHB is unearthing the challenges our community faces with homelessness by helping donors like you sow seeds On Good Ground, so our community can thrive with affordable modular housing. To bring the factory to life, we have a fundraising goal of $4.8 Million. We need your help to get there.

You too can sow seeds On Good Ground and help to end homelessness. Become a Hope Builder and donate today.

Factory Update

Founder of UHB, Pastor Pau Bains, shares a factory update.

A stronger community, sustained.
The Factory will provide 400 modular housing units, annually.

Break through the soil of generational poverty.
The Factory will create more than 100 new job opportunities in the community and employ those facing homelessness hardships.

Sprout through adversity and hardship.
More than 6,500 marginalized people will continue to be served annually across the UHB and WeHOPE services delivery system.

Sowing Seeds On Good Ground. Become a Hope Builder today.

We’re committed to eradicating homelessness by making affordable housing more accessible.

What happens to a seed that’s On Good Ground?

  • It becomes deeply rooted and growth can be sustained.

  • With sustained growth, there is breakthrough in the soil and a sprout arises.

  • With an arisen sprout, the seed blossoms into a healthy, thriving tree.

  • That tree then goes on to become a home to others.

Your gift is a seed that is sown #OnGoodGround and that seed creates an everlasting impact on the neighbors in your community.

Our Partners

California has more than 161,000 homeless residents and more than half of America’s unsheltered people.

This is what putting down roots On Good Ground looks like.

When you donate to United Hope Builders, you directly impact your neighbors with a home-creating gift - you help them put down roots.

When in life can you remember putting down roots?

Maybe you put down roots when you were a freshman in your college dorm. Maybe you put down roots when you were newly moved out of your childhood home and in your first apartment. Maybe you were realizing a dream come to life and put down roots in your vacation condo. Maybe you put down roots when you were newly married in your first family home.

Putting down roots in a home has been so much more than simply a roof over your head. Putting down roots in a home has been a place where your most magnificent milestones grow and prosper.

When you put down roots, you have a place to

  • Share warm meals.

  • Exchange smiles and stories about your day.

  • Celebrate life’s big moments.

  • Nurture your loved ones.

  • Grow a family.

161,000 people in California don’t have a place to put down roots - and it’s on us to change that with the Factory build.
