Quality Assurance Manager

The Opportunity

indieDwell is expanding its national footprint to bring inspired homes to individuals and families across the country. We are hiring a Quality Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with applicable plans, standards, local building codes and construction practices. This role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection of the workflow process to ensure indieDwell’s standards of quality are maintained. The Quality Assurance Manager reports directly to the General Manager.

General Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Manager will:

  • Foster and maintain a safe and clean work environment

  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations, the indieDwell Teammates Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards and with all local building codes

  • Collaborate with other teammates to improve processes, efficiencies and workflow

  • Be responsible for the quality control oversight of production stages

  • Review drawings for conformance with indieDwell specifications

  • Ensure all work is in compliance with customer site building codes

  • Verify and document all materials received are in compliance with the plans and specifications

  • Inspect for and encourage cost-effective techniques and strategies

  • Timely complete and collect inspection reports, as required

  • Observe, document and report to improve look-ahead meetings, including planning, coordinating work, and reviewing previous week’s work

  • Hold meetings with all stakeholders, as needed, to define QC policies and procedures related to the production line

  • Work with Team Leads to maintain quality control throughout the production cycle

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or similar role

  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and local building codes

  • Excellent numerical skills

  • Knowledge of G Suite tools and a willingness to adapt quickly to new systems

  • Ability to analyze data, create and review processes

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics

  • Consistently promotes the purpose and vision of indieDwell

  • Delivers high levels of Safety, Trust and Support to all teammates

  • Conveys a sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on indieDwell’s success

  • Is self-aware, resilient, assertive and open to change

  • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach

  • Good communicator, organizer, problem-solver with a strong attention to detail

  • Possesses the physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction

  • The teammate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
